We have tried to make our licensing model simple, flexible and transparent. We distinguish between development and runtime licenses. The development license is per developer and run-time license per installation of the runtime on a machine without a development license.

The development environment is a Software protection mechanism feature that allows a leasing model.

Development License

• Professional-Edition

  OTX designer, OTX-time, OTX-Viewer, Screen Designer

• Stan­dard-Edi­tion

  OTX designer, OTX-time, OTX Viewer

• Designer Edition

  OTX designer without the runtime environment, OTX Viewer

• SDK-Option

  In addition to the Standard or Professional Edition, the SDK option can be booked to integrate the OTX-free products in your own applications. Within a mandatory agreement here, the distribution of run-time licenses is regulated.

License Forms

Development licenses distinguish two forms of licensing:

• Full Version
• Leasing version

The minimum term for leasing is 2 months. The leasing contract can be canceled monthly to the end of the following month. From the 13th month onward the rent is being reduced by 50%. A change between versions is possible. When changing from leasing to a retail 75% of the rental payments are credited. Leasing maintenance and support is included. For full versions a support and maintenance contract for the first license is required.

Development licenses must be activated before first use. To evaluate the software prior to purchase intention, we offer you a 30 day fully functional evaluation version.

Runtime Licenses

With a development license including the SDK option runtime licenses may be sold by the user. Per installation of the ODF runtime environment on a PC without a development license, a runtime license is required. We distinguish two types:

• Standard run-time license

  The normal runtime license includes OTX API and / or the OTX-Runtime

• Advanced run-time license

  contains, in addition to the content of the normal run-time license nor the OTX Designer

Runtime licenses can be purchased as single or general license. Runtime licenses do not have any software protection and do not require activation.
