A PTX file is an ZIP archive for an entire OTX project. It can be signed and encrypted. A PTX file can contain standardized and non-standardized (optional) content: OTX documents, externally referenced projects (statically bound PTX files), project settings (optional), OTX mapping files (optional), pre-compiled binaries, project file (index.xml), and project file (ProjektName.otfPrj for OTF - optional).

A PTX file can be created inside the OTX Development Environment. The content and the security settings can be defined inside PTX Export Manager, see picture.
