I am very pleased to be speaking at the ASAM International Conference 2026 in Munich (04–05 November 2026). This year’s conference is held under the motto “From code to road – Continuous testing for safer mobility” and addresses one of the key topics in the automotive industry: the end-to-end validation of highly complex, software-driven vehicle architectures.
In my presentation
"OTX as an enabler for standardized, end-to-end testing in the SDV era"
I will explore how OTX (Open Test sequence eXchange according to ISO 13209) is evolving as an ISO and ASAM standard into a key enabling technology for end-to-end test strategies in software-defined vehicles.
OTX enables a platform-independent and standardized description and execution of test and diagnostic logic across the entire vehicle lifecycle – from development and production to after-sales and even execution inside the vehicle itself. This makes it possible for the first time to exchange executable test knowledge seamlessly across domain boundaries.
With its latest extensions, OTX is also continuously expanding its scope: the ASAM Test Specification extends its applicability towards a universal test description language for new domains such as ASAM XIL-based test environments and ASAM OpenX approaches in the context of autonomous driving. In addition, ASAM SOVD contributes to making vehicle diagnostics significantly more service-oriented and standardized.
I am looking forward to the professional exchange in Munich and to discussing how standardization can help sustainably manage the growing complexity in the SDV era.
